VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT STUDIO FORMED BY TRIPLE-A TITLE VETERAN TEAM
LOS ANGELES, CA [November 10, 2011] –
With opportunities in social gaming and casual game development, video game veterans are making the move from multimillion dollar-backed projects to their own start up ventures, trading financial security for ownership of their own creations.
Jupiter Moon Entertainment, an independent video game development studio with a focus on the creation and management of its own IPs, is the latest, and one of the most highly anticipated, to do so, announcing today that it has officially opened its doors under the direction of industry veterans Christopher Cherubini and David Chiapperino.
Christopher Cherubini most notably came from Infinity Ward, developer of the Call of Duty and Modern Warfare franchises under publisher Activision, where he served as Lead Artist. During his time there the studio was awarded with the respected honor of Game of The Year, in addition to numerous other accolades.
David Chiapperino has contributed to over twenty published interactive titles at Vivendi Universal, Sony Computer Entertainment and Disney, among others. Most recently his work focused on video game licensed properties World of Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean and the multi-award winning Disney hit, Toontown, played by millions of gamers worldwide.
“Our goal of the studio,” says David, “is to create beloved experiences through character story, and gameplay.”
The studio is positioned to release its first IP, Bunny Popper, in December 2011 on iOS, with plans to expand its portfolio to include games made for emerging technologies. JupiterMoon is located in LosAngeles,CA.
